Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between a life coach and a therapist?
You will have access to download the full Life coaches, like myself, zero in on the here and now, crafting realistic goals and laying out concrete steps to achieve them. In contrast, therapists dive into an individual's past to unearth insights that explain their present state. Rather than prescribing medication, my approach as a life coach emphasizes action-oriented steps and solutions to reach tangible goals.
What is a breakthrough session and who are they for?
For those looking to commit to and invest in changing their lives, a breakthrough session is designed for us to get to know one another and begin to see where you’re at in your journey and what that would look like without your current obstacles and how we collectively can help you achieve them with a solid plan, support and strategy.
Can I hire you as a coach for short-term or a particular project?
Absolutely. Some clients I work with on a three month or single-session basis, and others for 12+ years — it all depends on your goals. The ideal point of a breakthrough session is to see where you’re currently at and what approach makes the most sense (short-term or potentially long-term) to help you get there.
Who do you typically work with?
I work with anyone who is ready to commit to get unstuck, get out of their own way and looking to create a strategy to build new habits to live an empowered life of purpose and well-being.
Do you take insurance?
While I don’t take insurance, you can inquire with your HR or company to see if they’d be open to cover coaching as a health and well-being offering. I work with many individuals and groups under their company’s offerings, including speaking.
What makes your approach different from other coaches?
While I am trained and certified as a master life coach, much of my coaching is based on life experiences. If you haven’t gotten a chance yet to watch my story on the about page, you’ll quickly uncover I’ve had my fair share of hardships that I’ve worked through to be able to put myself in a position today to be thrilled to help others achieve that same sense of empowerment and personal freedom.
Why does life coaching produce such rapid changes?
Because we’re not looking for quick fixes and bandaid approaches, life coaching can help you cut to the core of what is an impingement or snag in what has been tried and not be able to stick in the past. It’s like a veil to uncover the deeper inner workings of your current lifestyle and how we can maneuver and adjust to help you climb higher and to continue to build upon your successes, triumphs and goals.
Life coaching, and my approach in particular, works to hold you accountable, objective, and enjoying the process — which is key to making any lifestyle habit stick for the long-term.
How long do you usually work with a person on their journey?
This will vary from each individual, but I have worked with most of my clients over the course of many years — some over 12! As humans, we’re always evolving, offering plenty of potential opportunities for us to work as long or as short as your high performance life desires.
Why is life coaching so popular?
While some trends come and go, life coaching is a proven tactic and style for creating positive life-long changes. Because we’re focused on making deep-core related shifts in your current blueprint, life coaching isn’t a mask to cover what’s underneath, but rather the core of what you’re seeking for long-term personal growth.
